Privacy Policy
This is a default privacy policy for SplitMail. We will update it as product and company details are finalized.
This Privacy Policy explains how SplitMail ("SplitMail," "we," "us") handles information when you visit splitmail.io, create an account, or use our email operations software (including Slicer, calendar, campaign tools, and related features).
Related terms are in our Terms of Service.
1. Who we are
SplitMail provides software that helps teams prepare and send email campaigns, including cutting designs into Klaviyo templates and connecting work in tools such as Asana, Figma, and Google Docs.
2. Information we collect
Depending on how you use SplitMail, we may collect:
- Account information — email address, name, password or authentication data, organization membership, and role.
- Workspace content — campaign calendars, copy, designs, uploads, notes, onboarding answers, and other materials you or your team put into the product.
- Integration data — tokens and related records needed to connect third-party services you choose to link (for example Klaviyo, Asana, Figma, or Google). We only request access needed to provide the features you use.
- Usage and device data — log data such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and approximate timestamps, used for security, debugging, and keeping the service reliable.
- Communications — messages you send us about support or the product.
We do not ask you to provide payment card numbers in this product surface. If billing is added later, this policy will be updated.
3. How we use information
We use information to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve SplitMail
- Authenticate users and protect accounts
- Run the features you request, including integrations and uploads
- Diagnose problems and keep the service secure
- Respond to support requests
- Meet legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information.
4. How we share information
We may share information with:
- Service providers that host the app, store data, handle authentication, or help us operate SplitMail, under confidentiality obligations.
- Integrations you enable — when you connect a third-party service, that provider processes data according to its own terms and privacy policy.
- Your organization — teammates and workspace admins may see content and activity in that workspace.
- Legal and safety — if required by law, or to protect SplitMail, our users, or others.
- Business transfers — if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or similar transaction, information may transfer as part of that deal.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and similar storage that are needed to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and secure the session. You can block cookies in your browser; some features may then stop working.
6. Retention
We keep information for as long as your account or workspace needs it to operate SplitMail, and for a reasonable period afterward for backups, security, and legal requirements. You or a workspace admin can ask us to delete account data as described below.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Please use a strong password and keep integration credentials limited to people who need them.
8. International transfers
SplitMail is offered over the internet. Information may be processed in countries other than the one where you live. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for those transfers.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To make a request, email privacy@splitmail.io. We may need to verify the request. Some information is controlled by your organization; we may direct those requests to a workspace admin.
10. Children
SplitMail is for business use. It is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
11. Changes
We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of SplitMail after an update means you accept the revised policy.
